Stars and Strikes Hosts Annual Holiday Event for Foster Children

Three family entertainment centers, including the Dacula location, open doors to children in need this holiday season.

Georgia-based Stars and Strikes has once again teamed up with local organizations CASA (Cumming), Benchmark Family Services (Lawrenceville/Dacula) and Neighbor to Family (Stone Mountain) to provide foster children and their families a holiday party full of bowling, arcade games, laser tag and lunch and much more.

Three of the company’s five locations opened their doors over the weekend to host foster families in Dacula, Cumming, Stone Mountain and their surrounding areas. Over 600 guests were in attendance at these events. Families were provided access to all activities in the centers, plus complimentary food and beverage throughout the events.

In addition to spending the day bowling and playing games with their families, each child received a Christmas stocking full of gifts donated from a variety of sponsors, including gifts from Stars and Strikes.

β€œOur goal year-after-year has been to provide local foster families with a fun-filled morning to celebrate the holiday season,” said Chris Albano, managing partner and co-founder of Stars and Strikes. β€œMany children don’t get the opportunity to celebrate Christmas, and this is just a small way for us to give back to the communities around our centers.”

The company’s first holiday party for foster children took place in 2009 at Stars and Strikes’ Dacula location, and has since become an annual tradition. In addition to donating space, food, and stocking stuffers, Stars and Strikes employees also donate their time to work these heart-warming events. The occasion has become an annual highlight for the company.
