Respondents to a poll posted on the City of Dacula website were 2 to 1 against any tax increases for transportation in Georgia, and most think the state doesn’t allow enough local options for local transportation needs.

The city’s “non-scientific” poll asked three questions regarding the Georgia General Assembly’s consideration of the Transportation Funding Act of 2015.

Entirely new tax: 22% favor
Change tax from sales to excise tax: 26% favor
Other: Don’t know; amendment forcing spending of revenues to transportation needs, combine all above, tolls, better zoning, fair tax, lottery, 1 ct statewide sales tax, dedicated fund
