This Dump Cake is Simply Delicious

Heather Doran, our Dacula cook of the week, shares a recipe that tastes a lot better than it might sound.

Dacula Cook of the Week, Heather Doran’s Dump Cake recipe is simple to make and simply delicious!

“It's one of my favorite desserts because it is so sweet and yummy,” Doran said. “I like it because it is so easy to make and everyone seems to love it.”

The name of the cake says it all. Just dump in the ingredients, and an hour later you will be enjoying cake.

“Relax and throw it together,” Doran said. “You can't mess it up!”

With a recipe this simple, Doran likes to have a little fun making memories in the kitchen.

“It's a great dish to make with your little ones because there aren't too many steps,” Doran suggests. “I have fond memories of my mother making it when I was growing up.”

Doran has a suggestion for altering the recipe to fit your own taste, and a great topper idea.

“I've heard other people say they try different flavors of pie filling,” Doran shares. “I personally haven't tried it but it sounds interesting. I like to make it extra yummy by serving it warm with vanilla ice cream.”
