Trash Pickup in Dacula: Mechanical Issue May Mean Delays

The City of Dacula says a mechanical failure in one its sanitation trucks may mean delays in garbage pickups inside the city limits in the coming weeks.

The city said on its website that the pickup days — either Wednesdays or Thursdays — will stay the same, but the time “may be significantly later.” The pickup may be as late as 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.

“This means that City workers will be out in the dark picking up some customers’ garbage for the next several weeks as we remedy the situation,” Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks said in the post.

“Please have your garbage cans or other containers where our employees can easily see them in darkness.”
