Unexplained Acceleration Blamed in Crash That Damaged Business
Driver said the vehicle was almost at a stop when it suddenly accelerated.
The driver of a vehicle that crashed into on April 7 blamed the accident on an unexpected and sudden car acceleration.
The but no injuries were reported.
The woman told police she was coming to a stop in the parking space when her 2011 BMW X3 accelerated and crashed through the front wall of Victory Eye Care. According to the police report, the crash also caused damage to the wall of an adjacent suite.

No citations were issued since the accident occurred on private property.
Janie Kendrick of Victory Eye Care said repairs are underway and the office is scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 16.
