Veteran Killed In Hit And Run In Gwinnett County, Family Wants Answers
The family of an army veteran who was killed in a hit-and-run accident last month wants the public's help identifying the driver.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — An Army veteran’s family needs the public’s help in finding who left 29-year-old Desmond Font dead on the side of the road, according to WSB-TV.
“Police say it was 45 minutes from the time that the police arrived on scene to the time that he was killed,” Font’s stepfather Donald Harris told WSB.
He was killed during a hit-and-run October 24 on Cruse Road in Lawrenceville, according to a police report.

Lawrenceville police were responding to a separate call, but were informed by someone nearby that a man was lying down on a driveway on Cruse Road, north of Paden Drive, according to police. They told the officers they didn’t know if the person was alive.
Font was found in the driveway at 2452 Cruse Road and police reported he had sustained life threatening injuries from a hit-and-run, which killed him.

Police are still searching for the driver of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
