Violin Instructor Charged with Child Molestation: News Nearby

Hall County authorities say they have arrested a violin instructor on child molestation charges after a minor student came forward with allegations.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported on Facebook Leon Messerlian, 85, of Clermont, has been charged with child molestation, sexual battery and enticing a child for indecent purposes. He is being held without bond at the Hall County jail.

The sheriff’s office said Messerlian used his business -- Oxford Academy of Classical Studies -- “to have inappropriate sexual contact” with the minor.
