Visit State Botanical Garden for Scenery, ‘Plantapalooza’
Take a short drive to Athens to visit the beautiful State Botanical Garden and purchase plants for your own garden during this weekend's plant sale.
Located approximately 45 minutes from Dacula, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia is a 313-acre reserve that is open to the public and serves as a “living laboratory” for University of Georgia students and faculty.
This Saturday, visitors can enjoy a stroll through the various display gardens and purchase plants for their own gardens during “Plantapalooza.”
Plantapalooza will be held at the State Botanical Garden, the UGA Horticulture Club and The Trial Gardens at UGA on Saturday, April 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. The event offers visitors the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of native plants and the chance to speak with Master Gardeners and horticultural experts.
