Weather Alert: Watch Out for Severe Storms Sunday

The National Weather Service said isolated severe thunderstorms could pop up virtually anywhere in north Georgia Sunday afternoon and evening.

In a hazardous weather outlook statement, the weather service said an upper-level disturbance will bring a possibility of storms mainly between 2 p.m. and midnight.

The main threats with storms will be heavy rain, damaging winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

The chance for rain in Dacula is 40 percent today and 50 percent tonight.
