Weekend Weather: Slight Risk of Storms, But Mostly Sunny, Dry

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, says the weekend will be mostly sunny in North Georgia, with only a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. (see the forecast below)

Highs will be in the mid-80’s Saturday and Sunday and the chance of rain is no greater than 20 percent anywhere in the region (a greater chance comes next week).

  • Friday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind around 5 mph.
  • Saturday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Sunny, with a high near 86. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
  • Saturday night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming northeast after midnight.
  • Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East wind around 5 mph.
  • Sunday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Monday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
