Technology education is a crucial part of living today. Being technology literate and having the ability to adapt to new technology and different platforms is infinitely helpful in a society where technology is in a state of constant advancement. New smartphones come out monthly, operating systems are upgraded yearly, and websites and programs update themselves more often than you know.
Technology education not only helps you understand how to use and learn programs now, but it teaches you about how technology has developed and where it could potentially be going in the future. Technology is incorporated in to numerous jobs, and as it advances, will be inclluded and more common in numerous other jobs. Having experience with technology will benefit you in these careers. When it comes to engineering in particular, the careers involved with that are expanding and they pay extremely well. Having the technology background would let you know if those suit your interests. It's something to consider when deciding on a future career because it certainly isn't dying field.
