William, Ava Top Baby Names in Georgia

The Social Security Administration has released its list of the most popular baby names of 2015.

If you don't know many Williams or Avas, just give it a few years.

In Georgia, those were the most popular names for boy and girl babies, respectively, in 2015, according to the Social Security Administration.

Each year, the administration releases a list of the most popular baby names, in the country and by state.

Nationwide, Noah and Emma were the most popular boy's and girl's names from last year, the administration announced.

In Georgia, there were 728 babies named William last year, and 634 named Ava.

William was the defending state champion -- it was also the most popular baby-boy name in Georgia in 2014.

Ava moved up a slot from second-place, behind Olivia, in 2014.

William was the fifth-most popular boy's name nationally. Ava was the fourth-most popular girl's name.
