The shooting happened at about 5:48 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say the family had just moved to the area from Shreveport, Louisiana.

WSB-TV reports that Janae's mother was driving and that the shooter was targeting her, according to police. The family's car was stopped at a red light at the intersection.

Since the shooting, Decatur Police had canvassed the area in the heart of Decatur looking for clues. On Thursday, they were stopping traffic near the intersection, asking motorists if they'd seen anything.
