Decatur Police Seek Leads In Road Rage Shooting
Seventeen-year-old Janae Owens had recently moved to the area from Louisiana and was in the car with her mother and sister.

DECATUR, GA — The 17-year-old girl shot and killed in an apparent road rage incident in Decatur on Wednesday had recently moved to the area with her family from Shreveport, Louisiana.
Decatur Police continue to look for leads in the shooting, which killed Janae Owens and injured her mother. Janae's twin sister reportedly was a third passenger in the car and was not hurt.
On Thursday, police returned to the scene of the shooting — at the intersection of South Candler Street and Midway Road — at about the same time it happened, stopping motorists to ask if they'd seen anything, including a black Chrysler 200 or 300 the shooter is believed to have been driving.
