Applications should be for projects or programs that address literacy and youth-&nbsp;at-risk in the wider Decatur / DeKalb community.
Grant Application Details Applications for the Community Grants are being accepted now through May 29, 2026. The 34-day free soccer and music festival will connect Decatur to FIFA World Cup 26™ matches in June and July of 2026.&nbsp;

Decatur visitors can enjoy more than 80 eating and drinking establishments, historic parks, walking and biking trails, and an award-winning central square that serves as its main gathering spot.

FIFA World Cup 26™ runs from June 11, 2026 through July 19, 2026, with eight matches taking place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Easily accessible by MARTA, Atlanta’s rapid rail and bus system, Decatur will join greater Atlanta to celebrate the arrival of world class soccer to Atlanta.
Decatur WatchFest ‘26 will offer music, games, activities and food and beverages on and around the newly renovated Decatur Square as fans watch the world’s top soccer matches.

Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. As part of our literacy initiative, campers will visit the local public library twice each week to participate in summer reading opportunities, explore new books, and develop a love for reading and learning. We strive to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of every child while encouraging creativity, confidence, leadership, and exploration.
