Clarkston Daycare Being Investigated For Child Abuse Loses License

According to media reports, two workers at the daycare are facing charges.

CLARKSTON, GA — A Clarkston daycare has lost its license after allegations of child abuse surfaced, 11Alive reported.

Two staff members at Clarkston First Baptist Academy are facing charges, one for cruelty to children in the first degree and the other worker for failure to report child abuse, the outlet reported.

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning investigated the academy, reporting in a notice, "(Clarkston First Baptist Academy) demonstrated the intentional or reckless disregard for the physical and mental health and safety of children."

11Alive reported seeing video from a parent in July that showed a 3-year-old being slapped and punched for at least two hours by adults.

The academy had 10 days from receiving a notice from the state to appeal, the outlet reported.
