Avondale Estates Family-Owned Minuteman Press Celebrates 8 Years, Expands Local Business

For Eric Burrill, owning Minuteman Press in Avondale Estates has always been a family affair. Since opening in September 2018, Eric and his wife, Ericka, have worked together to grow their printing and marketing business while building strong relationships throughout the local community.

Now celebrating eight years in business, the Burrill family has reached several major milestones, including moving into a larger facility, acquiring a longtime local printing company, and expanding their services.

In October 2025, Minuteman Press relocated from its original 900-square-foot space into a 3,000-square-foot facility, allowing the business to increase production capacity and offer more services in-house, including wide-format printing, signage, apparel decoration, and promotional materials.

Just two months later, the Burrills acquired TOCO Printing, a family-owned business that had served the community for 60 years. The acquisition expanded Minuteman Press's printing capabilities while allowing the Burrills to welcome longtime TOCO customers.

"When it comes to meeting our customers' timelines, it is imperative that we produce as much as possible in-house," says Eric. "Delivering for our customers is our top priority."

Family remains at the heart of the operation. Ericka oversees production and customer service, while Eric focuses on business development and expanding capabilities. Their son, Vincent, who graduated high school in 2026, also contributes to production, mailing projects, and installations.

Beyond growing their business, the Burrills remain committed to supporting Avondale Estates. Minuteman Press has sponsored the city's Weekend Wind Down Concert Series since 2022 and regularly provides printed materials for local events.

Eric has also recently become president of the local business association, where he hopes to strengthen connections among business owners and encourage collaboration.

"We truly like to support our community wherever we can, especially with events that bring people together," says Eric.

As Minuteman Press celebrates eight years, Eric credits customer relationships, continuous improvement, and community involvement for the company's success.

"The biggest rewards are when we make our customers happy," he says. "We keep learning, and we keep trying to be better than yesterday."
