Comet Pub & Lanes Holding Open Call For Staffing

DECATUR, GA -- One of the Atlanta area's most anticipated summer openings, The Comet Pub & Lanes, is getting closer.

The combo bar, restaurant and bowling alley, on the former site of Suburban Lanes in Decatur, will be hosting an open call for front and back-of-house employees on Wednesday from 1-5 p.m.

The spot's owners -- the same team behind Twain's Brewpub and Billiards in Decatur -- are hiring servers, bartenders, cooks, pizza cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers.

According to a Facebook post on Monday, The Comet will feature 16 draft lines, more than 50 bottled beers, a full bar featuring craft cocktails, hand tossed pizzas, burgers, wings and plates to share.

There also will be 32 bowling lanes, two shuffleboard courts and three dart boards.

Comet is asking cook and bartender applicants to have at least two years of experience.

Hopefuls should bring a resume to The Comet on Wednesday. They'll be doing interviews on site and plan to start training after July 4.
