Decatur 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Planned
The Pied Piper Parade will be followed by a concert on Decatur Square and fireworks after dark.

DECATUR, GA -- Decatur's annual parade and fireworks show are coming back this July 4th.
Fourth of July festivities will kick off with the Pied Piper Parade, a casual community parade that encourages anyone interested to ride, skate or walk along.
Neighborhoods and organizations are encouraged to make floats and join the parade, which begins at First Baptist Church of Decatur at 308 Clairemont Ave.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. and lineup at the church starts at 5:30.
Anyone may participate in the parade, but those with vehicles must register by emailing Shirley.baylis@decaturga.com or by calling 678-553-6573.

The parade will head to Decatur Square, where a Concert on the Square will begin at 7 p.m. The Callanwolde Concert Band will be performing at the Community Bandstand.
Fireworks will begin after dark -- likely about 9 p.m.
It might be worth at least packing an umbrella for the festivities.
The extended weather forecast for the Atlanta area calls for cloudy skies and a high of 86 next Monday, with a 35 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day increasing to a 60 percent chance in the evening.
