Decatur, Do You Know This Plant Thief?
Somebody risked going to jail to get a free potted plant off of a front porch in Oakhurst recently, according to police.

DECATUR, GA — In the grand scheme of things, it's not the crime of the century. But, hey ... a thief is a thief, right?
Decatur Police are seeking help identifying a man who walked onto the front porch of a house recently and stole a potted plant. The theft happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 on Fayetteville Road, in Oakhurst.
Video from a surveillance camera at the home shows the man casually stroll through the home's front yard, grab the large potted plant and walk away.

So, somebody in Decatur thought it was worth possibly going to jail over a free plant. Or, as Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta said on Facebook: "This is just plain stupid, but a theft is a theft."
