Decatur Man Shoots Two Home-Invasion Suspects, Kills One
The suspect who was killed was dressed to look like a law-enforcement officer, police say.

DECATUR, GA -- A Decatur man whose home was being invaded shot the two men who kicked their way inside, killing one of them, police say.
DeKalb County Police say a man and his mother were at home on the 2800 block of Eastwood Road on Wednesday when two men began trying to enter.
Once inside, the pair attacked the man and his mother. But the homeowner was able to overpower one of the attackers, get a rifle and begin shooting at them, hitting both intruders.

The other suspect jumped into a car being driven by a woman and was taken to a Zaxby’s restaurant on Memorial Drive, where the woman began screaming for someone to call 911 and get help, police said.
The driver was arrested and the man who was shot was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Police say it is unlikely that the homeowner, who received minor injuries in the scuffle, will face any charges.
