Decatur Police Release Sketch Of Attempted Kidnapping Suspect

DECATUR, GA — Police this week released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted kidnapping of a woman in early December. According to police, the suspect grabbed a woman by her wrist while she waited for a rideshare and said, "Come with me. Come with me."

The incident happened close to 9 p.m. Dec. 10 in the 100 block of Sams Street. Police said the woman noticed the man across the street as she waited for a rideshare. When he told her to go with him, the victim yelled "No!" and jerked her arm away before running to a nearby building. She was not injured during the incident.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his late 40s or early 50s, between 5-feet eight-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall with a medium build and noticeable belly. He has thinning gray/white hair and was wearing eyeglasses, light wash blue jeans and a dark short-sleeved t-shirt.
