Man Killed in Decatur Shooting
The incident happened downtown in the 200 block of Robin Street.

DECATUR, GA -- A Decatur man was shot and killed at a downtown apartment complex on Wednesday, police said.
At about 8:03 a.m., Decatur Police responded to a report of a gunshot in the 200 block of Robin Street.
Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the stairwell of an apartment complex.

The man, identified as Gerard Foster, 52, of Decatur, was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said in a news release.

Decatur Police and Georgia Bureau of Investigation teams were still at the scene of the shooting late Wednesday morning.
Police said they were withholding the identity of the victim until family has been notified.
Robin Street is off of Commerce Drive, between Trinity Place and Howard Avenue.
