Tickets are now on sale for those who want to sail down a 1,000 foot long water slide in downtown Decatur next month.

Kind of.

Unfortunately, demand for Slide the City tickets was so high when sales opened at 9 a.m. Wednesday that the ticket website crashed! The Decatur Minute reports that Slide the City employees are “working hard to get the site up and running smoothly again so please be patient.

And don’t panic- they aren’t sold out. YET”

Slide the City will bring its 1,080 ft. long water slide to the Decatur Beach Party on July 25. The slide will run along W Ponce de Leon Avenue from Clairemont Avenue to Ponce de Leon Place. Sliders need to purchase tickets in advance to get in on the fun.

The slide is being brought in to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Decatur Business Association. Use the promo code DBA15 to get a 10% discount off of your tickets. A portion of each registration that uses that code will go directly to the Decatur Business Association.
