Decatur is Snobbiest City in Georgia

The city whose slogan is "Everything is Greater in Decatur" comes in at No. 1 as the state's snootiest.

According to a new listing by RoadSnacks, Decatur is the snobbiest city in Georgia.

“Decatur has the fifth most theaters and fifth most art galleries in the state of Georgia,” according to the ranking, which listed the 10 snobbiest cities in Georgia. “Oh, and their motto is ’Everything is Greater In Decatur.’ If that’s not snooty, we don’t know what is.”

The website ranked Georgia’s cities in terms of median home price (higher is snobbier); median household income (higher is snobbier); percent of population with a college degree (higher is snobbier); private schools per capita (higher is snobbier); theaters per capita (higher is snobbier); and art galleries per capita (higher is snobbier).

Decatur’s population of 20,293 has a median household income of $72,495, and a median home price of$349,050.
