The chief of staff of a former DeKalb County commissioner now languishing in federal prison may soon find himself behind bars as well.

WSB-TV reports that Bob Lundsten, formerly chief of staff for Commissioner Elaine Boyer, has been indicted on six counts of theft by taking and three counts of making false statements. According to the station, Lundsten stands accused of using his county-issued purchasing card to buy groceries, jewelry, and other unauthorized items.
Lundsten recently made headlines when he was challenged to a fight by DeKalb County Ethics Board member Robert Blackman during a meeting on March 3. Blackman resigned on March 5 after being placed on administrative leave.

Boyer pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit mail fraud and wire fraud in September of 2014 and was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison in March of this year. She must also pay $87,350 in restitution for her fraud against DeKalb taxpayers.
John Boyer, Elaine’s husband, pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit mail fraud earlier in March.
