According to DeKalb Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Eric Jackson, four companies of firefighters were dispatched to the complex at 412 Prince of Wales in the Pine Lake community just after 3 p.m. Monday. The first crew on the scene discovered a two-story townhome showing signs of a significant fire, which had spread to the two adjacent townhomes.

The four companies rushed into the building to contain the fire and to search for any potential victims. Within 21 minutes, firefighters had restricted the blaze to the townhome of origin and one townhome next door. No firefighters or civilians were injured during the fire.
