Gas Leak Blocking Lamont Drive near Scott Boulevard

(UPDATE: The gas leak has been cleared, roadways are open and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.)

DECATUR, GA -- Decatur Police were on the scene of a gas leak Thursday morning on Lamont Drive.

The leak is on the 300 block of Lamont, according to a news release.

The roadway was blocked early Thursday at Lamont Drive and Vidal Boulevard, near Scott Boulevard.

Emergency personnel were evacuating residents around the area as a precaution.
