Suspended DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis has been convicted of four of the nine charges laid against him in his re-trial for corruption.

Ellis has been found guilty of three counts of perjury and a single count of attempted extortion for his attempts to coerce county vendors into contributing to his re-election campaign and then attempting to cover-up the plot.

Jurors spent four days deliberating the charges before returning with a verdict Wednesday morning.

Ellis faces up to 15 years in prison following his conviction, WSB-TV reports. Sentencing will occur on July 8, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says, but Ellis was taken into custody following his conviction.
