LifeLine Animal Project Invites You to Spay it Forward and Meet our DeKalb County Pets of the Week

Meet a ridiculously sweet boy named Able and a laid back and polite older gentleman named Glenn. Both are waiting for you at the shelter!

February is National Spay & Neuter Month, and with over 90,000 animals ending up in Atlanta area shelters each year, spaying and neutering is still the most effective tool we have in reducing the homeless pet population. LifeLine Animal Project’s goal is to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals by the end of 2016 at our DeKalb and Fulton County shelters. To do so, we need everyone to help contribute to the solution, so LifeLine is offering a way to “Spay it Forward,” by sponsoring the free spay or neuter of a dog or cat for a family in need.

Make a donation of $50 for a cat or $75 for a dog, and we’ll provide the surgery free of charge to someone who could not otherwise afford it for their pet. Interested in helping out? Click here to Spay it Forward! For more benefits and information on why to spay and neuter click here. We spay and neuter all of our shelter pets before they go to their forever homes. Meet some below!

Our first Pet of the Week is Able, a ridiculously sweet one-year-old boy who is also a real cutie. At 46 lbs., Able is a great medium-sized guy, who loves cuddling, wagging his tail and hanging out with his dog friends. Able would do well as a canine brother to your dog, or as an only pet. If you adopt Able during February, you’ll pay an adoption fee of only $14 during our “Find the One” promotion, including his neuter, microchip and vaccines. Come meet him today! Simply drop by the shelter at 845 Camp Road in Decatur, email adoption@dekalbanimalservices.com or call (404) 294-2165. To view other pets available for adoption, please drop by the shelter or visit www.dekalbanimalservices.com.

Our next Pet of the Week is an older gentleman who is very low key. Meet Glenn, a laid-back guy who still has lots of pep in his step. Glenn still plays with toys and absolutely loves treats! He would do well as your only dog or as canine brother to another polite dog who is as laid back as he is. Feel free to bring your pup along to meet Glenn here at Lifeline’s DeKalb Animal Services shelter. Glenn is already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, so he can leave with you today! If you adopt Glenn during February, you’ll pay an adoption fee of only $14 during our “Find the One” promotion. Meet this sweet guy by dropping by the shelter at 845 Camp Road in Decatur, emailing adoption@dekalbanimalservices.com or calling (404) 294-2165.
