New Festival To Showcase Tiny Houses As Future of Real Estate
The July 30-31 event will display single-family homes with 500 square feet or less.

DECATUR, GA -- Could you live in 500 square feet or less? For tiny house enthusiasts, the answer is a not-so-small “YES!”

If you’re intrigued by the concept of tiny houses and small-space living and want to learn more, join Tiny House Atlanta for the first-ever Decatur Tiny House Festival, on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31, in downtown Decatur.
Ten to 15 tiny houses will be available to tour, and experts on topics such as sustainability, minimalism, urban planning, zoning and downsizing will be on hand to answer your questions.

Tiny House Atlanta, a pioneer in education and advocacy for the tiny house movement, is launching the Decatur Tiny House Festival in partnership with the City of Decatur. This first-of-its-kind event in metro Atlanta focuses on how microhousing can benefit individuals and communities in Georgia, and part of the event's proceeds will go to the Decatur Housing Initiatives Corp. – a nonprofit dedicated to developing affordable housing in Decatur.

The Decatur Tiny House Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Here are just a few of the fun and informative activities
- Ten to 15 tiny houses will be on-site and open for tours.
- Vendors will be on hand explaining and promoting sustainable practices in the tiny house movement.
- Our Speaker’s Symposium will offer opportunities to learn from experts in different areas of the industry. Speakers will be announced at tinyhouseatlanta.com as they are selected.

General admission ticket holders can enjoy the tiny homes, speakers and vendors throughout the weekend. The price is $35 for a Saturday and Sunday weekend pass, or $20 for a single-day ticket.
