New Watershed To Open In Spring

co-owned by the Indigo Girls' Emily Sailer, will reopen in the spring in the in Buckhead.

Watershed will open in a 175-seat space with private dining, a patio and ample parking at the 219-unit, mixed-use Brookwood community at 1833 Piedmont Road.

Chef Joe Truex, who replaced longtime chef Scott Peacock at the restaurant in 2010, plans to update Watershed’s Southern-inspired menu "with flavors from the Georgia Coast to the Louisiana Bayou and everything in between including the diverse ethnic flavors found throughout the South," a press release said.

"It's a new day in the neighborhood for the Atlanta family and foodie community and I am thrilled to be a part of it," Saliers said in the release. “I can't wait to bring family and friends out to the new location to taste Chef Truex’s new menu.” 

 Co-owner Ross Jones is the general manager of the restaurant.

Watershed is often credited with for out-of-towners. Watershed after more than a dozen years. So far, the space near Farm Burger is still vacant.

A Louisiana native, Truex came to Watershed after closing his award-winning eatery, Repast, the announcment said.

The restaurant will continue its expansive wine program — including monthly wine club tastings — and bring back its Fried Chicken Night with a new twist, according to the announcement
