Post Office Investigating Claims of Mail Dumping in Decatur

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Several DeKalb residents reported seeing a U.S. Post Office worker dump bins of mail behind a subdivision, and the post office has launched a subsequent investigation.

After WSB reported the story, several post office investigators came to the scene and filled more than a dozen bins with dumped mail.

The subdivision in which the mail was allegedly dumped was not named in the story. Several nearby residents told the station they haven't received some important mail recently.

It took postal workers several hours to collect all the mail from the ditch.
