Ramen Noodle Thief Steals Nearly $100K Worth
We hope this thief was hungry. Authorities say someone snagged a trailer full of ramen at a Georgia convenience store.

FAYETTEVILLE, GA — In a heist that would make any starving college student proud, someone in Georgia recently made off with a truck loaded with nearly $100,000 worth of ramen noodles.
The presumably hungry culprit snagged a tractor-trailer full of the cheap-and-quick carbohydrate classic some time between July 25 and Aug. 1, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
According to The Citizen (Fayetteville), Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb said the 53-foot trailer contained about $98,000 worth of the noodles. It had been parked with permission at a convenience store on Ga. 85 North, the paper reported.

Babb said the trailer was secured at the time it was stolen, according to The Citizen. Fayette County is located just south of metro Atlanta, about 22 miles south of the city.

So, just how much ramen is $98,000 worth? On Amazon Thursday, a 24-pack of Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup — complete with plastic spoons — was selling for $17.99, or or about 75 cents per pack.
Somebody out there may have a guilty conscience. But they won't be hungry for quite a while.
