Search Is On For Missing DeKalb Teen

Mara Bradley, 17, went missing from her family's home in Clarkston at about noon on Friday and has not been heard from since.

CLARKSTON, GA — A DeKalb County family is asking for the public's help in finding their teen daughter, who has been missing since last week.

Mara Bradley, 17, disappeared from her family's home around noon on Friday, Feb. 9, and has not been heard from by family members since. They've created a Facebook page in hopes of spreading the news about her disappearance — saying they believe she left on her own but still fear she may be in trouble

"It is understood this is of her own doing but we feel that she is in danger, not only as a kid on her own but that she might be in the company of others that do not have her best interests in mind," reads a post on the "Bringing Mara Home" page.

Clarkston Police Chief Christine Hudson confirmed Wednesday that her department is investigating the case.

Family members believe Mara has left the city and don't know if she did so by vehicle or on foot. She left behind her phone and other tech devices and had no money that the family is aware of, according to the page.

Mara — who may also be going by the name "Cain" — is described as fair-skinned with blue eyes, standing 5'7" and weighing about 135 pounds. She has short hair that was dark brown, but her family believes she has colored or bleached it since.

She may have been wearing a gray Halsey sweatshirt and is believed to have a blue-leather briefcase/backpack with her.

"Mara will also answer to Cain and she LOVES cosplay: fabulous wigs and colored contacts are her thing!" the family wrote on the Facebook page. "Mara will stop to talk to any Corgi she sees. She loves tiny things and stuffed animals. K-pop is her choice of music and Smartfood, diet soft drinks, and Chinese food are her faves--but she will stop dead in her tracks for Chik-fil-A."

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Clarkston Police Department at 404-292-9465 or to contact her family at mamachiofalo@gmail.com or 404-219-0146.
