Shallowford Presby. Sets Informal Late Afternoon Service
Messy Church @ SPC delivers an interactive Sunday worship for all ages
The theme for January is “Just Breathe: Living Intentionally with God.” We will be doing meditation and practicing mindfulness together. It is open to all ages. Parents can come a few minutes early to sign their kids up for special children’s time. A simple dinner follows at 6.
What’s Messy Church? It’s a monthly worship and faith-formation experience at Shallowford for people of all ages. Messy Church offers space and time for kids and adults to focus on ancient Christian spiritual practices, so we can take those practices home and live them out every day - in work, school, home, service, and relationships.
Why Messy Church? Our relationship with God flows out of us into acts of goodwill for our self, our community, and our world. During church, we may share openly, knowing that the community of faith helps us to form our lives with intention. We invite all people to join us, knowing that our experience is enriched by the presence and life experience of others.
What am I getting myself (or my family) into? Good question. Here’s what we did in December.
