Shallowford Presbyterian Sets Third Informal Sunday Night Service
"Messy Church @ SPC" delivers an interactive worship for all ages
Shallowford Presbyterian Church will hold the third “Messy Church @ SPC,” a monthly Sunday evening worship service, on December 6 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel on the church’s campus, 2375 Shallowford Rd., Atlanta, GA 30345, (404) 321.1844.
The service and activities at the December Messy Church @ SPC will focus on the theme “Light: God is with Us.” Expect a casual atmosphere, special songs and crafts for the kids, plus time for adults and youth to reflect during the service.
“December can be such a crazy time, even for those of us who look forward to it all year,” said Rev. Sara Hayden, the lead organizer. “This month we’re doing Messy Church a bit early so that each of us can begin the holiday season with intention. We want to experience worship with our children, but we also need this time for ourselves. Through worship, we can renew our strength, find peace and prepare for the days ahead.”

“We’ll be taking a “reverse offering” to support ministries in our neighborhood,” said Rev. Hayden. “To help with this, all are invited to bring some cash or a check. Everyone will leave the service with an opportunity to give back in a specific way during December.”
Afterwards, all attendees are invited to a simple meal where they can meet new friends. This month, it’s a pizza dinner starting at 6pm. No RSVP is necessary. Bring your friends!
