Suspect Charged In Deadly February 2018 Hit And Run In Decatur

The hit and run happened on E. College Avenue earlier this year.

DECATUR, GA -- A man has been arrested and charged in a deadly hit and run that happened earlier this year in Decatur. Police have charged Omari Young, 39, in connection with the Feb. 2, 2018, hit and run that killed Anthony Lingoes. Young was charged with vehicular homicide and hit and run on Monday.

Lingoes was struck by a vehicle around 3:30 am and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident happened in the 300 block of East College Avenue, near North Candler Street and Agnes Scott College.
