Teenager Shot At Back to School Party; DeKalb Police Looking for Suspects

The incident happened Thursday night in unincorporated Decatur.

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb police are looking for suspects in a Thursday night shooting at a back to school party in unincorporated Decatur that has left one girl hospitalized.

Between 75 and 100 teens were at the party on Bluebird Lane, according to DeKalb police, when a car pulled up with three men inside. The men seemed to be older than the teens, and a mother at the party told them the party was for younger kids.

The men then drove away, but returned about 30 minutes later and fired six shots into the crowd.

The girl, 14, was struck in the abdomen and remains hospitalized.

Police are looking for a Chevrolet Impala or Malibu. No arrests have been made so far.
