Walmart Raising Wages for Georgia Employees

The retail giant will soon be paying $13.64 an hour to full time workers.

Walmart is raising its hourly wages to Georgia employees.

By February 2016, fulltime workers will earn $13.64 an hour, while part-timers will make $10.47, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The company is providing more than 58,000 pay raises throughout Georgia, representing an investment of $87.4 million in the state.

Walmart has locations in Brookhaven, Decatur, Dunwoody, Lithonia, Stone Mountain and Tucker.

Companywide, Walmart is investing $2.7 billion in wage hikes and other employee training and benefits.
