Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Huey’s songwriting is deeply rooted in southern folk music. Since playing in various groups for the past 8 years, most notably her own full band "Huey &amp; The Heaven-sent", she has become a household name in the Atlanta music scene. "[She] brings some diversity to what people perceive southern music to be" says Atwood Magazine, following up the release of their second full-length LP "How to Keep Things Alive". Heart-clenching and poignant lyrics, married with vocal stylings reminiscent of Dolores O'riordan, Huey's songwriting is brutally honest. With songs like " Potential Missed" and " Losing me", she showcases her ability to write catchy songs without losing their substance. A bit of that Nashville twang with an aftertaste of 90's style--she's carved out a slice of the genre that sounds like nobody else.&nbsp;<h2>Jacob Kynard</h2>
Jacob Kynard, who hails from Pine Hill, AL, has spent the past few years driving around the country playing songs in backyards , bars, churches, nursing homes, vape stores… you name it, he’s probably played it. 
Kynard has been recording his debut album at Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, MS, produced by Matt Patton (Drive By Truckers). He’s hoping that you’ll give it a listen and that you’ve got a spare bed or a soft piece of floor for him to crash the night on.

Host Yoshee So is an Atlanta-based comedian raised by immigrant parents and 80's &amp; 90's TV sitcoms. As a latch key kid, Yoshee found ways to entertain himself watching sketches, comedy and hours of MTV. He is a founder of the Red Pill Players improv troupe that travel around the world spreading the joy of 'on the spot' funny. He's opened for T.J. Miller and George Wallace and was chosen by NBC as a semifinalist for Standup for Diversity showcase. Yoshee produces multiple shows in the southeast including ATL in the Nash (improv + comedy mash-up show) and Comedy in the Clay (a showcase show of the best comics in the country). These days, you can find him touring the country while raising suburban kids, and managing a Céline Dion fan club.

What is the Jazz Legacy Project?
Created in 2015 after an epiphany Justin Varnes had while teaching Jazz History at Georgia State University, the JLP has an ongoing residency at the Velvet Note jazz club in Atlanta, where they have been selling out their performances for 6 years and counting.
Ditching a traditional textbook in favor of playing records and telling stories about the artists to college kids who knew little or nothing about jazz proved to be a big success. It turned out that performing the artist's music and telling their stories in between proved to be an even bigger success.
