Decatur Man Charged In Duluth Man's Killing

The Duluth man was shot to death in August in a sports bar parking lot, police said.

DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett Police have charged a Decatur man in connection with the shooting death of a Duluth man in August, police said late Thursday afternoon.

Police said Kevin Blackwell died Aug. 20 in a shooting that happened around 2:30 a.m. in a sports bar parking lot in the 3000 block of Satellite Boulevard.

Trayvon Austin, 24, has been charged on suspicion of aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with Blackwell's killing, police said. Austin is being held without bond at the Gwinnett Detention Center, police said.
