A member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Dr. Pickron will oversee the clinical operations at Gwinnett, which includes working with GSO doctors and staff to continue to provide patients with exceptional orthodontic care.

“The Georgia School of Orthodontics  first patient care clinic is in north Fulton and they just opened its second state-of-the-art patient care clinic Duluth.   As Clinical Director, I am excited to provide our patients the highest-quality orthodontic care and a seamless patient experience,” said Pickron.  “My goal is for every patient to be impressed with our warmth and professionalism from the moment they walk into our clinic.”

Pickron’s experience and expertise is known throughout the metro-Atlanta area as the founder and  previous owner of Pickron Orthodontic Care, the largest private orthodontic practice in the U.S. with 23 offices, including seven in Gwinnett County.  He is also a former member of the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlanta and the Gwinnett Council on Child Abuse.

He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory University School of Dentistry and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Alabama.  As a mentor and educator, Pickron has lectured at Javero University in Bogotá, Colombia and presented to the Australian Association of Orthodontists on Managing the Orthodontic Practice in addition to owning the Orthodontic Assisting School of Atlanta.

“Dr. Pickron brings over forty-five years of orthodontic clinical experience in the private practice sector to GSO,” said Dr. Harrell D.M.D., M.A., Program Director of the Georgia School of Orthodontics. “Atlanta is his home, and there is no one better equipped to lead our Gwinnett clinic.”
