Duluth Burglary Suspect Leaves ID At Scene, Faces Charges
The man's wallet was found next to a broken window at the apartment complex, and police used his ID to find his address and arrest him.
DULUTH, GA — Police said Monday a burglary suspect was arrested Friday after he left his ID at the scene of the crime.
Duluth Police did not identify the suspect but said he was accused of burglary at an apartment complex. When officers arrived, the suspect had already left the location.
Officers found a broken window in a vacant apartment, and next to the broken window was a wallet with the suspect's ID in it, police said.

Using the ID, officers were able to locate the suspect's address, police said. The suspect was found at that location with significant injuries to his arm, which police said was injured from the broken window.
The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly, police said.

"It is a reminder that even in the age of technology, old-fashioned police work still plays a vital role in solving crimes," police said in a news release.
