Duluth City Council Candidates to Address Community

Local organization to host free city council candidate forum open to the public.

Duluth city council candidates will have an opportunity to address their community October 17, 7:30 pm at a City Council Candidate Forum hosted by Find Your Voice: Duluth.

All candidates running for open seats on Duluth City Council have been invited to speak: Marsha Bomar (Post 1 incumbent), Jim Dugan (Post 2 incumbent), Kirkland Carden (Post 2), Louis Tseng (Post 2), and Billy Jones (Post 3 Incumbent). Each candidate will be given 5-7 minutes to make a presentation to the audience followed by a question and answer period.

The event is nonpartisan, and open to the public on a first-come, first-served RSVP basis. Those interested in attending should RSVP at https://fyvduluthcandidateforum.eventbrite.com. Additionally, questions for candidates need to be submitted via the Eventbrite invitation.

Find Your Voice: Duluth is a group of citizens who came together organically after the November elections to have a more visible role in local government. They consider themselves officially non-partisan progressives. The group meets monthly and focuses on politics at city and county levels.
