The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Duluth.

Good morning, Duluth! I'm Nicole Fallon-Peek and I'll be your new source for everything that's happening in and around town. Now, here's what you need to know to start your day, in five minutes or less.
First, today's weather:
Partly sunny. High: 63 Low: 34.
Here are the top three stories today in Duluth:
- On Feb. 13, don't miss the Duluth Farmers & Artisan Market happening from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Shop local vendors at the market including those who bring in-season, local produce, baked goods, and other locally-made food products. This month's market will feature Valentine's Day-themed entertainment in Parsons Alley. (Duluth, GA)
- Gwinnett County has planned a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day event on Feb. 12. Duluth residents may bring up to five containers, including laundry baskets, storage bins, copy paper boxes, or similarly sized receptacles, of household hazardous waste during this free event. Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and Gwinnett Water Resources have teamed up to collect the items at the event, which takes place at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, located at 2405 Sugarloaf Pkwy in Lawrenceville. - To celebrate National School Counseling Week, which is taking place now through Feb. 11, Gwinnett County Public Schools are honoring their school counselors and the vital work they do. Gwinnett counsels, and many who support school counseling, have accumulated more than 100 state and national awards, the most of any school district in the nation. Dr. Demetria Williams, GCPS' director of Advisement and Counseling, says counselors remove barriers to learning, guide students as they make plans for the future, and support students' emotional and physical well-being.
