A fatal accident on northbound I-85 near Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Gwinnett shut down several lanes during the Thursday morning commute. Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Ed Ritter said the accident occurred at 7:05 a.m. between a tractor trailer and another vehicle. The tractor trailer flipped on its side. "There is one confirmed fatality on scene and two other people have been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries," Ritter said. Several lanes were blocked.No other information was available. Check back for updates

NextGen Creative Youth Summer Camp 2026 in Norcross, Georgia -- Gwinnett County -- is a hands-on, high-energy summer experience where youth ages 8–16&nbsp;explore animation, artificial intelligence (AI) creative tools, photography, storytelling, filmmaking, and multimedia production — all while creating their own original, screen-ready projects.
This is not just a camp — it’s a creative studio experience.

All youth projects will be officially screened at the 25th Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (October 2026) — red carpet experience included!
