Happy Saturday, Duluth! Here's everything you need to know about what's happening locally today.

Here are the top stories today in Duluth:

  1. Some local shelters are holding free pet adoptions due to overcrowding and most shelters are expecting to receive more animals from recent evictions that have happened due to the moratorium. (Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. After a whole year of shutdowns, some traditions are returning to Georgia Gwinnett College to start off the school year in a familiar way for students. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  3. According to the 2020 Census, Gwinnett county reported that we grew by 18.8% between 2010 and 2020. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
