The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Duluth.

Morning, Duluth! It's Friday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on around Duluth today.
First, today's weather:
Cloudy most of the time. High: 58 Low: 44.
Here are the top stories in Duluth today:
- The Girl Scout STEM Expo was a hit with over 500 Girl Scouts participating this past Saturday at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. The event marked Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta's return to large in-person events, and hosted a wide range of hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering, math, and other career tracks. The cherry on top? NASA sent former astronaut, Jan Davis PhD, as a keynote speaker who answered questions and shared her experiences in a field largely held by men. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- The ACT and SAT requirements have been temporarily waived for most schools within the University System of Georgia. This means that students who choose to apply to public universities in Georgia in the fall semester will not be required to take the ACT or SAT, which were previously requisites to admission. Georgia College and State University, Georgia Tech, and the University of Georgia are the only schools that will still require these entrance exams. (WSB Atlanta)
- Gwinnett County residents will have the opportunity to take a free firearm safety class with State Representative Jasmine Clark and the Gwinnett County police. Registration is required, and the event will be capped at 40 participants but all will receive a free firearm lock after completing the class. The course will take place on Mar. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
