Here are the top 3 stories today in Duluth:
- Gwinnett police investigated a double homicide near Norcross on Saturday morning, about 10 minutes from Duluth. Two men were found shot in the parking lot off of Jimmy Cater Blvd. One died at the scene and the other was transported to the hospital where he later died. Police are asking that anyone with information call 770-513-5300 or call Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta. (WSBTV)
- Gwinnett Department of Transportation Assistant Director Tom Sever was named the 2021 Transportation Professional of the Year. The recognition came from the Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Sever had contributed substantially to the safe and efficient movement of people and goods in the state. - Gwinett County Public Schools invites all parents and community members to apply for its Instructional Resources Review Committee (IRRC). This group is responsible for evaluating print and digital instructional resources for students, and the district wants your feedback on which materials should be considered for pilot at select schools.
